In February 2008, Cyprint Plc installed a brand new MAN Roland 500. This 6-colour B2 press has both waterbased and UV varnish with online driers to handle both. With this new up-to-date machine, jobs incorporating CMYK and up to two Pantone colours can now be printed in one ‘pass’, ensuring higher quality, greater accuracy of register and faster print times. The driers allow the sheets to be turned quicker, increasing production without compromising on quality.
With an 18,000 sheets per hour output speed (claimed to be the fastest in Cyprus) and a maximum board thickness of 1mm, this machine enables Cyprint to offer a wider range of papers and boards, while the integrated colour meter (using Brünner control strips) keeps the colour even and constant. The results are as close to perfection as printing processes allow.
